Bearing in mind that this site attracts contributors from all over the world, by which country's legislation are these legal terms and conditions being written?

I notice reference is made to the US, Canada and the EU but I see no mention of Australia (where this site is based) nor any others. In the US there is variance between federal and state law - as there is in the EU between the Commission and nation states legislatures.

The UK for example, is making quite an issue relating to cookie policy, whilst elsewhere in Europe it barely rates a mention. Many UK sites now carry quite intrusive 'cookie warnings' - for example - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/

The output it provides is pretty generic and looks to me to suit most situations. But I'm no lawyer, so consult one if necessary.
