  • I want to try out a new template, but I'm afraid of messing up the content and layout of my current template. If I switch to a different template and then switch back, will everything still be in the same place?

  • This is an issue. As all templates are different, you won't necessarily have the same module positions, and even if you do, each template provider tends to have a different naming convention. So your current template might have a position called "right", but the new template might call right positioned content "sidebar-a". So when you select the new template, you would need to change each module that previous was assigned to "right" to "sidebar-a". You don't lose anything you've created, but you do have to do a bit of work to get everything working with the new template.
