Hiya

I work with a charity in the UK building a site. It is important that we keep work 'inhouse' as part of the project is to build up web and work skills of our members - though we could bring professionals in if really needed.

Anyway, we will be using the site to:

To sign up and distribute Autism Alert Cards to folks on the Autistic Spectrum in the area. We have funding from the Police and Local Authorities for this, but want to make the process as lean as possible.

To deliver elearning modules to the Police on Autism and how they need to adapt their behaviour when they come across individuals.

Deliver email newsletters to these groups and more.

Build up a directory of resources for people to access

So, what I was thinking SobiPro foir the directory, but as I've started using K2 that could be a a good substitute.

ACY Mailing seems right for the newsletters etc.

Either LMS King or Joomla LMS for the elearning.

And possibly a CRM for looking after our Autistic Spectrum clients - who will need support and not just receiving a card. Maybe CRMry or civiCRM - we coudl create a few pipelines with those.

My challenge is - How to make sure people don't need to do multiple registrations. The Police Officers will need to register onsite as only they will have access privileges to the elearning area. Otherwise we want some kind of central registration for everybody for emails, being looked after (including emails) etc.

Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated. We are developing our site now.

Hi Douglas,

As long as you run all these functions through your Joomla website with all these Joomla extensions, you can have your members register one (Joomla user) account. That should take care of everything. You just need to make sure to set up specific user groups (e.g., police officers, clients, etc.) and that users can be registered in each group.
