Print Module Capability.
I can print an Article using the Print Icon. If I add a Form or Blog page there is no Print Icon visible. Does anyone know of an Extension or Code that will allow this capability. This can't be a new idea but I can't find anything on-line that addresses this.
The discussion has been resolved.

Les,
When you say Form, do you mean default Joomla contact form...or registration form...or third party form?
When you say Blog, do you mean Joomla blog layout menu item? Or third party blog page?-
Way to go Robert, hit me with the details I mentioned earlier today, LOL.
I meant to stay generic but I'm working with Chronoforms and BSMYJSpace.
I can't seem to get a print option. I was thinking there had to be some code I could add to the Source Code in the editor to get this done.

Yeah the details help.

Well, it's tougher when you're dealing with third party software, but I did see this thread talking about adding a print button to a ChronoForm:

Not too sure about the blog one.
There are ways to output pages without modules and everything by adding &tmpl=component to the link. This just basically strips the template info. But you'd still have to get a print button on that page. You might want to look through that blog extensions forum?
Hope that's a bit of help.Build A Joomla Website writer and moderator, lover of CSS. Let's GO Hockey!!!!

Thanks Robert, I saw that one to. For the forms I can work around it by putting in an Email address field and saying enter your email address if you want a copy emailed to you. It's the other things like Modules with text that I would like users to be able to print out. I'm trying to provide as much functionality to the end user as possible. I have 12 pages of a site that are basically blog pages the owner can manipulate. They are modules and not articles because of the Blog format. This throws up a bock in the printing process but it keeps the not techies out of the back end.
With a little help I know there is an answer out there.
Thank again Robert, I was about ready to give up on Joomla a few weeks ago but this board has helped me get over the hump and I'm starting to get creative. -
OK, I found out that in Artiseer there is a setting that turns the Print Icons Off & On. Turned on I can now print any article. If I have a form plug-in embedded in the article, the form will print too.
Now for modules, Still working on how to print a blog entry.
I.E. The Blog has a form on it that people should print and mail in. How do they print it?
(I'm trying to keep it simple so there is just a print button.)
(The form is just typed in on a plain page by a novice user, no Chronoforms) -
Solved--Just wanted to pass this along in case anyone else might want to use it.
Basically, I wanted to print a module. from the front end.
1. Create your module - Even call an external URL works, I'm calling a blog
2. Set the position of the module to something non-exiting in your template I.E. "FakePos"
3. Create an article and insert using the editor
4. Make sure the Loadposition Plug-in is enabled
5. Turn on the Print Icon in the Article
6 assign the Article to a menu.
7. The article will show up with the module pulled in, and if you print, the entire article and module will print, even if the module has slide bars and only part of it actually shows on the page.
I know it sound convoluted but it really open up functionality I needed.
Love bouncing ideas off everyone in here.
Thanks for the feedback

Les,
Thanks for following up and posting your solution. Great that you figured out how to do this...I would have resorted to using Modules Anywhere, but even better that you're using Joomla's core features!
