0HI Ian, have they added the slideshow feature in the header in this version?
Could you elaborate on the lack of responsive design comment? being an Artisteer advocate, I appreciate your review of the update.

I know that you addressed your question to Ian, but I thought that I would send you the following link. See section on HTML5 and CSS3 Support, since I downloaded this document last night, they have changed the text and removed the reference to "responsive designs".

Lesmore than a month agoI just looked at the Artisteer site and there seems to be a number of new enhancements. I do have a question. Things like product slide shows are often dependent on the specific page your creating. I may not be looking at this right but I tend to make those type changes in Joomla. Having to go back to the Template manager, make changes and then reload the template into Administrator seems like a lot of steps when I can do the same thing staying in Joomla. I love the added flexibility to create the templates but it almost seems like Artisteer is venturing past the Template realm. Am I missing something?

The more I see of Artisteer 4.0 it seems to be moving into a website designer and not a template generator.
You are correct, in the slideshow slider you add the images within Artisteer and NOT within Joomla, I agree this isn't what we would want from Artisteer.-
Lesmore than a month agoHI mike, I've been playing with the Artiseer 4.0 and there are some nice enhancements.
I like being able to put multiple images on the header and also the ability to move and re-size them at will. A few of the older feature are a bit harder to find but that just takes using it. One thing I would love to see, is the ability to import an existing Artisteer template back into Artisteer. If you loose the saved file, there is no way to get it back. You would think it could reverse engineer the exported file. I would also love to see a drag and drop type position system. Eliminate the positions you don't want and just move the remaining ones where you would like them. I did see there are now multiple pages available for one template. Should add some real flexibility.
Let us know how your doing with Ver. 4.

I agree, as I said in my first posting to Ian, there are some nice new features, but I was looking for the option to build a responsive template. In the meantime I am going down the Troy route, which is creating some problems, but I am getting there, I will let you know how I get on. But it will have to be next week, too much going on in the UK with The Open Golf championship this weekend and the Olympics starting next weekend. -

Sorry for my silence - but you may have seen elsewhere I have my share of problems at present!
I haven't really had a chance to play with it yet but I do think they need to include responsive design - it's omission is disappointing. It will come, I'm sure.
Won't get a chance in the next few days - for the first time this summer, we are promised fine weather for 5 days - so I shall be haymaking! Only 2 months late.
And Mike - minds on this side of the Channel are focused on a certain bike race, where the Brits (Wiggins and Frome) are likely to come in first and second and to be first (Cavendish) over the sprint finish in Paris. This after 3 brutally punishing weeks in the saddle in a race covering 2,173 miles, up mountains and down dales. Oh and there's the test Match against South Africa too!

0Thanks Mike - I hope not too! We have a little parcel of land next to a small river which we decided to give to the local council so that could create a little picnic site. Unfortunately we have an extremely unpleasant neighbour who has decided that the land is hers, that we have therefore no right to give it away and is taking us to court seeking 5,000 € of damages!
She doesn't appear to have a legal leg to stand on, but the whole thing is a load of stress I could well do without!
