Joomlashack has released version 3 of their in house Joomla Template Framework named Wright. This latest version has been made responsive in keeping with the mobile first philosophy in web design. Billed as a very lightweight, fast loading framework, Wright is said to be built to remain "future proof."

The responsiveness of Wright comes from using Twitter's Bootstrap as the base, just as Joomla 3.0 and above will use. Aside from its responsiveness, Joomlashack mentions some of the other benefits of Bootstrap, like the fact that it is Open Source and also that it is built on "a solid 960, fluid or fixed width grid system."

In terms of being lightweight, Joomlashack states that, "From the beginning we worked hard to assure that Wright was a light Joomla Template Framework, purposefully avoiding the 'kitchen sink' approach that many template providers have used when building their 'framework'."

When Joomla 3.0 is released, Wright will be loading Bootstrap from the core to make it even easier to update and more lightweight.

The Wright Framework is available as a free download from Joomlashack.com.

You'd have to check with JoomlaShack, but I suspect so as they include this with their other templates.
