Joomla 2.5 Sample Data

Joomla 2.5 Sample Data

When learning anything it is helpful to take a look at the finished product and work out how that was acheived rather than start from scratch. When installing Joomla, you can choose to include some sample data which comprises of preconfigured categories, articles, images, menu items, modules and components. With Joomla 2.5, you can choose from 3 sets of sample data, each with their own benefits. In the following video I take you through all three options to help you decide which option - if any - is best for you.

Recommended: this video was recorded in high definition. Use the video player controls below to change the resolution to either 720 or 1080 and then click the full screen icon at the right.

Richard
Thanks for the updated video, if I may give you some feedback, I think that it would be better to zoom in to the various areas, I could not see the written words.

Hi Richard,

As usual, Nice Job!
Increased resolution certainly helps with my ailing eyesight! Usual slick, professional offering, keep up the good work!

Paul.

Hi Richard...I hope today finds you well?
I have just purchased a 12 Month Cloudaccess account...and one of my first tasks, and on the instruction of Bernie, I deleted all the existing sample data within the template. I just prefer to start from scratch and learn from my own mistakes.

Take care....

It is me again, I have noticed that you have asked this question via Richard's Blog. It maybe better to ask the question via the forum.
