Resources mentioned in the video:

We use EasyBlog and there many other ways to create a blog using Joomla. However as Joomla sometimes gets a bad rap when it comes to blogging, I wanted to create a video showing how fast and easy it is to create a blog using the core plus free extensions. In many ways Joomla is superior to other platforms when you consider how easy it is to hide certain fields such as the category name, author name and published date. It's also easy to specify how many posts should appear on each category blog page and if they are in multiple columns. There are many sort options including ordering by published date, alphabetically or author name. And there's more including assigning posts to an archived page, SEO out-of-the-box, frontend publishing and a very comprehensive access control list.

Very interesting and informative. Your previous blog on the 5 best blogging tools was great, but I would prefer to start with a free version initially. All the sites I run are community ones and, subsequently, mostly paid by me, so costs need to be at a minimum. However, EasyBlog - or one of the others - are certainly worth considering for the future.
